Landing is the first LP and second publication by Gregori Hollis (following Kontimba 2020), this is an album where Afro-Cuban melodies and rhythms take shape through the broad sonic palette of jazz.
Through a repertoire consisting solely of original compositions, the group's sound surprises with its freshness, authenticity, and flexibility, at times shifting towards a more modern language or even displaying hints of Mediterranean flamenco influences.
The music of Landing was recorded in a septet format, giving special importance to percussion instruments, which provide the sound and rhythm of Afro-Cuban music and stand out above other instrumentation more typical within the jazz world.
