NOW I KNOW

GREGORI HOLLIS 4T.
NOW I KNOW - LP 2024
Urban, Flamenco & Afro-Cuban Jazz
"Now I Know" is born from a pause between the search for his identity and the choice of a new destination.
Recorded live in a quartet format and later produced, "Now I Know" is a bold artistic proposal that fuses a solid foundation of Modern Jazz with Urban Music and electronic production, accompanied by Mediterranean influences such as Flamenco, Afro-Cuban music, and even Classical Music.
We can experience a process of maturity and a journey from complexity to simplicity. It represents the infinite cycle of learning, where the process of acquiring knowledge reveals, with humility, the ignorance of the vastness of creation.

FUTUR
SINGLE 2024
Neo Jazz
"Futur" features the special collaboration of the renowned Catalan singer and trombonist, Rita Payés.
This piece aims to lead us to a social and personal reflection, expressing uncertainty and concern about the future, with a profound dialogue between Voice and Trumpet, presenting the future as a reflection of the past. This is a bittersweet piece that keeps us in constant instability, balancing between hope and despair, joy and depression, light and darkness.
Recorded live and later produced by Lluís Borrell, Gregori sought to capture in this composition iconic speeches that have been pivotal in history; from the declarations made by U.S. President Harry Truman announcing the creation of the first atomic bomb in 1945, the iconic speech by Martin Luther King that inspired the civil rights movement in the United States with the words "I Have A Dream..." in 1963, to Greta Thunberg’s words at the 2019 UN Climate Summit demanding accountability from European Union politicians for the major climate emergency.

DEDICATORIA
SINGLE 2024
Buleria Jazz
This piece features the collaboration of the prestigious pianist from Cádiz, Chano Domínguez, internationally recognized as one of the leading figures of jazz-flamenco.
To compose this Bulería fused with Jazz, Hollis was inspired by Chano Domínguez’s music, which he absorbed deeply during his adolescence from albums like "New Flamenco Sound" and "Chano Domínguez 1993 - 2003". This has been a fundamental pillar in his musical influences throughout his life, and in this song he wants to pay a tribute not only to his musical references but especially to Chano Domínguez.

LO QUE ME LLEVO
SINGLE 2024
Buleria Urban Jazz
It was born after one of the most enriching musical and professional experiences Gregori Hollis has lived throughout his career, as part of the international tour “Sin Cantar ni Afinar Tour 22” by C. Tangana, where he worked as lead trumpet, arranger, and composer for the live show.
This single is a tribute to all the people he has met during this stage working with "El Madrileño", reflecting the fusion of musical and cultural styles he has experienced. The fusion of urban music such as Hip-Hop with Flamenco, Latin music, and even harmonies more characteristic of classical music shapes this tribute through the language of jazz.
Manu Masaedo, percussionist and singer, collaborates in the piece as an "MC," delivering an old-school style rap, talking about the two sides of the coin involved in a tour of this magnitude.
